Unidentified men killed three sons of famous doctor in Quetta

In a tragic incident, unidentified men opened fire at the vehicle of a famous doctor and killed his three sons near the Railway Society area at the Joint Road in Quetta.

According to the police, the medical practitioner identified as Dr. Nasir Achakzai, along with his family, was returning to his house after attending a marriage ceremony.

When they were about to reach home, the culprits opened fire on their vehicle owing to which the doctor’s three sons—20-year-old Zaryan, 18-year-old Sadran, and another eight-year-old son—died on the spot.

The suspects managed to flee the scene after the incident.

Upon getting information, a heavy contingent of police reached the spot and shifted the deceased to Civil Hospital, Quetta. Police have also registered a case, while a search operation is underway.

In the meantime, Balochistan Inspector General (IG) Abdul Khaliq Sheikh has taken notice of the incident and sought an immediate report from concerned authorities.

Three soldiers martyred in terrorist attack on checkpost in Balochistan’s Zarghoon

As many as three soldiers embraced martyrdom and one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Zarghun, the area of Balochistan on Saturday. According to the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation was launched in the area against suspected terrorists who attacked a security post. “Troops on the post retaliated readily to the fire raid thereby, pushing back the terrorists,” stated the military’s media wing. In the ensuing exchange of fire, three soldiers were martyred while one terrorist was also killed. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said that the legal process of trial against planners, instigators, abettors and perpetrators involved in the May 9 mayhem has commenced under Pakistan Army Act and Official Secret Act as per existing and established legal procedures derived from the Constitution.
