The investigating officer said that Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has been arrested in two cases, physical remand is required for investigation of the cases and recovery of bribe money.
The investigation team requested that the accused Pervez Elahi be given physical remand for 14 days.
It should be noted that 2 cases have been filed against former Pervez Elahi in Gujranwala police station anti-corruption, both the FIRs have allegations of kickbacks in road construction contracts in Gujarat.
In the case number 6/23, it is alleged that a road was constructed from Pul Banyan to Chattanwala at a cost of ten crore and three lakh rupees
In Case No. 7/23, it is alleged that a road was constructed from Gujarat Old GT Road to Lakhanwal at a cost of ten billion rupees.
According to the lawsuit, bribes in both contracts were received by Pervez Elahi's frontman Sohail Asghar.
As soon as Pervez Elahi was released yesterday, he was arrested in another case and taken to Gujranwala by the anti-corruption team.

It should be noted that Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was discharged from the case while delivering the verdict yesterday. The court had ordered that no evidence of corruption was found, Pervez Elahi should be released if he is not named in any other case.
