CTD arrests 10 terrorists in raids across Punjab
The Counter-Terrorism of Punjab has arrested 10 alleged terrorists in operations conducted in various cities of the province.

According to officials, a commander of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was arrested along with four associates. They further said that the arrested commander, identified as Qasim Afghani, had hatched a plan to carry out a terrorist activity.

Moreover, five other terrorists were arrested in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha.

The officials further said that explosive material, hand grenades, weapons, mobile phones and cash were seized from the possession of the arrested men.

These terrorists were planning to target sensitive installations, the officials added. This past week, the CTD said, 225 suspects were arrested in 359 combing operations.
