In the list, issued by the company and quoted by The Sun, added the iPhone 6 Plus which was released in 2014 with a display of 5.5 inches.
It was a giant leap for the iPhone as earlier versions of their handsets were smaller.
Here is the list of those Apple phones that are being rendered obsolete by the California-based technology behemoth.

Since the aforementioned devices are being termed as old, there would be no hardware or software support for those versions.
According to the iPhone maker’s website: "Products are considered vintage when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than 5 and less than 7 years ago. Products are considered obsolete when Apple stopped distributing them for sale more than 7 years ago."
Vintage is the stage before obsolete in which people will be receiving software and hardware updates.
It also says that it "discontinues all hardware service for obsolete products."
