WhatsApp rolling out 'exciting' new feature for videos
Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature known as playback speed for videos which will let users view content efficiently as well as tailour the viewing experience to their needs.

Users will be allowed to watch videos at different speeds with the assistance of this new feature. It is worth noting that some beta testers can already explore this new feature, reported WABetaInfo.

In order to ensure easy access for users while watching videos, the new playback speed control is conveniently located next to the video progress bar.

Without interrupting their viewing experience, this button allows users to switch speeds quickly.

Moreover, users have the flexibility to choose the speed that best suits their preferences with three playback speed levels available. These include normal, 1.5x and 2.0x.

This feature is expected to significantly enhance user convenience, particularly for longer videos that might otherwise feel time-consuming to watch at normal speed, according to WABetaInfo.

Users can make better use of their time while still enjoying the content by adjusting the playback speed.

Additionally, it is also ideal for users with busy schedules who want to watch content more quickly without missing any important details.

At least 11 passengers lost their lives and 30 others sustained burn injuries when three carriages of a Tezgam Express caught fire due to explosion in a gas stove, according to initial reports. Three soldiers martyred in terrorist attack on checkpost in Balochistan’s Zarghoon

As many as three soldiers embraced martyrdom and one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Zarghun, the area of Balochistan on Saturday. According to the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation was launched in the area against suspected terrorists who attacked a security post. “Troops on the post retaliated readily to the fire raid thereby, pushing back the terrorists,” stated the military’s media wing. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said that the legal process of trial against planners, instigators, abettors and perpetrators involved in the May 9 mayhem has commenced under Pakistan Army Act and Official Secret Act as per existing and established legal procedures derived from the Constitution. The army chief's statement came as he visited Jinnah House and an army installation in Lahore, which were blatantly attacked and vandalised by “politically motivated” rioters, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a handout.
