Twitter CEO,s official Account Get Hacked, offensive messages Posted

Twitter CEO,s official Account Get Hacked, offensive messages Posted
Twitter said on Friday the account of chief executive Jack Dorsey had been “compromised” after a series of erratic and offensive messages were posted.

The tweets containing racial slurs and suggestions about a bomb showed up around 2000 GMT on the @jack account of the founder of the short messaging service before being deleted.

Some of the tweets contained the hashtag #ChucklingSquad, which was believed to indicate the identity of the hacker group. The same calling card was left behind during recent hacks of other high-profile social media personalities.

The messages contained racial epithets, and included a retweet of a message supporting Nazi Germany.
Twitter said that the phone number associated with Dorsey's account was “compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider”, allowing a hacker to posts tweets to @jack by sending text messages.

Dorsey's account has been secured and there was “no indication that Twitter's systems have been compromised”, according to the San Francisco-based internet firm.

It appeared that tweets posted on Dorsey's account by the hacker were up for about a half-hour before they were removed.

Pinned atop Dorsey's account was a tweet from early last year saying: “We're committing Twitter to help increase the collective health, openness, and civility of public conversation, and to hold ourselves publicly accountable towards progress.”

A barrage of comments fired off on the platform questioned why the Twitter co-founder didn't secure his account better, and how disturbing a sign it was that the service couldn't keep its own chief safe on the platform.

“If you can't protect Jack, you can't protect ... jack,” one Twitter user quipped.

The news comes with Dorsey and Twitter moving aggressively to clean up offensive and inappropriate content as part of a focus on “safety”.

“This might be the only way to get rid of racist tweets on this platform,” a Twitter user commented.

Shah Mehmood extends 'conditional' dialogue offer to India, rules out war

Shah Mehmood extends 'conditional' dialogue offer to India, rules out war
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said that Pakistan was ready to hold dialogue with India on all outstanding issues provided that New Delhi agreed to ease tensions in Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IoK).

Qureshi made the offer while talking to United Kingdom-based news outlet British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and stressed that Pakistan had always welcomed dialogue with India.

"Pakistan has never refused to negotiate, but India has never created the right atmosphere needed for dialogue," said the foreign minister. He also added that Pakistan had no objection to bilateral talks.

"Pakistan has no objection to bilateral talks, and any third-party support or mediation will also be welcomed," remarked Qureshi. The statement from Qureshi follows a similar comment made by PM Imran Khan in an opinion piece for The New York Times on Friday.

In a shift from official policy on bilateral talks with India so far, PM Imran had on Friday said that talks would India could go ahead only if New Delhi agreed to reverse the illegal annexation of Kashmir.

FM Qureshi appeared to elaborate on the statement made by the premier, outlining that bilateral talks with India hinged on Delhi ending curfew in IoK, restoring human rights, and releasing detained Kashmiri leaders.

"In an environment where curfew is enforced, people are suffering from life and death, gang rapes are taking place, people are being held in captivity, I don't see any negotiating environment," said the minister.

Earlier in August, India had revoked the special constitutional autonomy of the occupied valley and imposed a military curfew in the area following the decision.

Thousands of Kashmiris have been detained since, and nearly 700,000 troops deployed to quash dissent. Allegations of torture and abuse of those detained by Indian security forces have been pouring in.

FM Qureshi ruled out war with India in his interview to the UK-based news outlet, saying that Pakistan had never adopted an aggressive foreign policy and always called for peaceful resolution of disputes.

"The two neighboring countries with nuclear weapons cannot afford the risk of war. People will be destroyed by war and the world will be affected by this as well," elaborated Qureshi.

The foreign minister also talked about Pakistan's relations with the Gulf countries, other Muslim nations, and the United States in his interview, praising the role Pakistani allies have played to highlight the Kashmir cause on the international stage.

Modi govt ethnic cleansing of Muslims should send alarm bells ringing across the world: PM Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that the illegal annexation of occupied Kashmir is part of a wider policy by the right-wing BJP government in India to target Muslims.

The premier was referring to reports in Indian media regarding the contentious National Register of Citizens (NRC) which has declared at least 1.9 million people – mostly Muslims – as ‘illegal residents’.

The NRC list was released today in India’s north-eastern state of Assam that critics said targeted the region’s Muslim minority.

In a tweet, the prime minister added that the Modi government’s ethnic cleansing of Muslims should send alarm bells ringing across the world. The NRC move by India comes mere weeks after India’s illegal and unilateral revocation of occupied Kashmir’s autonomous status.

Lock-down Enters Straight 26th Day in Occupied Kashimr

Lock-down Enters Straight 26th Day in Occupied Kashimr
The Kashmir valley remains under severe military siege for 26th consecutive day, today, as hundreds of thousands of Indian troops continue to enforce strict curfew and other restrictions to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations.

Occupied Kashmir is under strict a lockdown since 5th August when Narendra Modi-led Indian government announced the repeal of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian authorities have converted the Kashmir valley particularly Srinagar into a military garrison by deploying Indian troops and paramilitary personnel in every nook and corner to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the move.

However, people repeatedly flouting the curfew and other restrictions have been staging protests to show their resentment against the Indian occupation and nefarious move.

Due to the severe blockade, the residents are facing acute shortage of essential commodities including baby food and life-saving medicines and the valley represents a humanitarian crisis.

Pakistan is fully prepared to respond any aggression of India: PM Imarn

Pakistan is fully prepared to respond any aggression of India: PM Imarn
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said India will be given a befitting response if it attempted to launch a false flag operation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the main ceremony in Islamabad on Friday to express solidarity with Kashmiris, the Prime Minister said there are reports that India might resort to an operation in Azad Kashmir to diver international attention from inhuman situation in Occupied Kashmir.

Imran Khan said Pakistan Army is fully prepared to thwart any external aggression.

He, however, said that the world should realize that clash between two nuclear armed countries might result into loss to the whole world. He said he has already told the world leaders of the repercussions of this conflict, if they did not play their due role in resolving the Kashmir situation.

He said today's ceremony is aimed at apprising our Kashmiri brethren that we share their grief and pain and fully stand by them. Imran Khan said the message from Pakistan is loud and clear that Pakistani nation will launch full struggle to win freedom for Kashmiris. He said we will stand by Kashmiris till our last breath.

Mentioning the plight of Kashmiris, the Prime Minister said around eight million Kashmiris are under curfew for the last four weeks with total communication blockade and shortages of food and medicines.

Imran Khan said it is important to understand the type of government in India that has unleashed a wave of barbarity on Kashmiris. He said the incumbent Indian government is staunch follower of the ideology and philosophy of RSS.

The RSS was established in 1925 on the idea of superiority of Hindus and hatred against Muslims. Its roots are based on revulsion and fanaticism. This fanatic organization came into being after inspiring from the racist ideology of Adolph Hitler of Nazi Germany. The manifesto of RSS was either to expel Muslims from India or to turn them into second class citizens. And the latter is being witnessed in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir today.

Imran Khan said Indian government today is dominated by RSS ideology and they hate Muslims because Muslims ruled India for many centuries.

The Prime Minister regretted that response of the international community is muted when Muslims face persecution. He urged the world to break its silence and stop India from its brutalities.

Imran Khan vowed that he being the ambassador of Kashmir will fight the case of Kashmir at every intentional forum. He said his article published in New York Times today gives a glimpse to the world about kind of cruel environment the Kashmiris are facing. The Prime Minister said he also described in detail in his article the RSS ideology dominating India. The Prime Minister said the followers of RSS ideology in India only follow Hinduvta concept and ignore even the rulings of Indian Supreme Court.

He said even the moderate people in India are facing the consequences of this ideology. This ideology has negated the secular philosophy of Indian political stalwarts like Nehru and Gandhi. He said even Gandhi was killed by an RSS fanatic.

The Prime Minister said during his address at the UN General Assembly, he will expose the true face of India. He said in his diplomatic campaign after the illegal steps taken by India on 5th of this month, he apprised all the important world leaders of the appalling situation in Occupied Kashmir.

The Prime Minister warned that if this ideology is not stopped, it will reverberate the environment of Nazi Germany that resulted into world war two in which around 60 million people were killed.

Imran Khan said another campaign will be started soon with the message to lift curfew from Occupied Kashmir. He said during the campaign, important international figures and celebrities will be involved to raise the issue of human plight and tragedy in Occupied Kashmir at all international forums.

Imran Khan said he truly believes that the trump card played by India will result into the freedom of Kashmir.

Test cricketer Azhar Ali has expressed hope the Pakistan Cricket Board will select the best candidate to serve as head coach of the national men’s team.

Speaking to the media in Lahore on Thursday, Azhar said he was confident the PCB will make a good decision regarding the coaching jobs.

A five-member panel of the PCB conducted interviews for the posts of head coach and bowling coach earlier today. The panel comprised former captain and team manager Intikhab Alam, former cricketer and commentator Bazid Khan, Board of Governor member Asad Ali Khan, Managing Director Wasim Khan and Director International Cricket Zakir Khan.

The interviews for the batting, strength and conditioning coaches will be conducted after the position of the head coach is filled.

Among the candidates for the post of head coach are Misbah-ul-Haq and Dean Jones.

“I am confident the board will make a good decision,” Azhar told reporters. “The coaching candidates coming forward for the posts are those under whose coaching or with whom I’ve already played.”

He also welcomed the PCB’s decision to shake up the domestic cricket structure, saying that the new measures would boost the quality of Pakistan’s domestic cricket.

Azhar, who retired from one-day international cricket last year, said he stands by his decision. “I couldn’t see [my] future in ODI cricket, that’s why I retired,” he said, adding that he had no plans of taking back his retirement.

“I will however continue to play all formats in domestic cricket,” he added.

The former captain welcomed the pre-season camp, saying it would serve as a good opportunity for all the players

Fatima Sohail, the wife of actor Mohsin Abbas Haider has appealed to the Inspector General Police Punjab to change the investigation officer in her domestic abuse case.

Last month, Fatima Sohail alleged that she was physically abused by her husband Mohsin Abbas Haider and he was having an extra-marital affair.

Appearing on Private channels morning show, Fatima Sohail said the biggest lie told by Mohsin Abbas Haider was that nothing could be proven in court.

“The case has not even gone to court. Only an investigation by the police has taken place in which it has been found that he [Mohsin Abbas Haider] was innocent over the matter of money. He was found guilty of abusing and making threats,” she said.

Further, Fatima Sohail alleged that police was providing relief and not arresting Mohsin Abbas Haider. “This clearly shows the involvement of the police. I would request IG Punjab to transfer the investigation to an honest person.”

Mohsin Abbas Haider has been granted interim bail in the case by a sessions court in Lahore. Speaking to media last month, the actor hoped to end “this battle of truth and lies” and that the issue was a “family matter”.
