Jordan to celebrate Crown Prince Hussein's wedding to Rajwa Al-Saif

Jordan begins its festivities on Wednesday to celebrate the royal wedding of Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II and Saudi citizen Rajwa Khalid Al-Saif, Jordan News Agency reported.

The two-day celebration will include a royal feast hosted by King Abdullah II at the Royal Hashemite Court, with 4,000 people from across Jordan attending the event.

The banquet will boast poetry recitals, singing, and Jordanian folk tunes.

It was revealed earlier this month that the religious marriage ceremony will take place on Thursday at Zahran Palace in Amman, with the reception — to be attended by international heads of state and the Jordanian royal family — at Al-Husseiniya Palace.

The wedding of the Jordanian royal and the Saudi national has drawn interest from local, regional, and international media, Petra reported.

Several television networks will be broadcasting the ceremony on Thursday.

Three soldiers martyred in terrorist attack on checkpost in Balochistan’s Zarghoon

As many as three soldiers embraced martyrdom and one terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Zarghun, the area of Balochistan on Saturday. According to the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an operation was launched in the area against suspected terrorists who attacked a security post. “Troops on the post retaliated readily to the fire raid thereby, pushing back the terrorists,” stated the military’s media wing. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has said that the legal process of trial against planners, instigators, abettors and perpetrators involved in the May 9 mayhem has commenced under Pakistan Army Act and Official Secret Act as per existing and established legal procedures derived from the Constitution.
